Golf

Rugged Acres Golf & Country Club is a multi-activity, family orientated country club established in 1960. Golf is one of the club's paramount focuses and since the course re-construction in the mid-90's a source of great pride for the Club and its membership. The first tee is located past the historic clubhouse and through the beautiful perennial gardens down to the floor of the Rouge Valley. Winding through the scenic terrain and meandering along and across the Rouge River lie 18 magnificent holes of golf.

The Course
The course consists of traditionally designed Bentgrass greens and fairways, closely guarded by deep Ohio sand bunkers.

The course is noted for its clever and imaginative layout which constantly challenges both low and high handicappers. The strategic demands favour finesse over strength and subtlety over power. The course makes full use of its 4 sets of tees with lengths ranging from 6500 yards, par 71 down to 5002, par 70. The variety of shot values, placing equal emphasis on tee shots, iron play and the short game, present the golfer with a consistent challenge. Buz is the quintessential private club course consisting of 18 different and memorable holes, easily walked, and maintained to the highest standards. This lush park-like setting is hidden away by its valley walls rimmed with a dense landscape in the heart of Toronto's urban center.
